Backpackers On Dundas, or as we affectionately call it, BoD, is a boutique International hostel located at Dundas and University in Toronto, Ontario. They cater to out of country crowd, mostly in their 20’s, backpacking in and around Toronto.
Not long ago, iMark designed their website, www.backpackersondundas.com. Since then, we have recently added a traveller’s link exchange section. In this section, tourist attractions, hostels and budget hotels from around the world can request to exchange hostel links with BoD. The participating International hostel’s webmasters can pick up BoD’s html code, with or without photo, and drop it on their site, then fill out the quick and user friendly form to let BoD know where to find their link. BoD will then decide if they would like to add that hostel’s link to the BoD site. Cool, huh?
Another cool page on the BoD site is the Toronto Tourist Attractions page, which features over 50 links to Toronto attractions, museums, sports arenas and schedules, public transit maps and more.
Perhaps the coolest part of the BoD site is their Toronto Events and Attractions Blog. This blog is updated twice weekly (or more) about upcoming Toronto events, great deals, and Toronto freebies. Whether you are visiting Toronto for a day, a week, a month, or a lifetime, this is a blog that you will want to subscribe to. The writing for this blog is a blended effort on behalf of both iMark’s blog writing services, the employees at BoD, and on occasion even the guests of BoD have written an entry!
Soon, we will have the backpackers website translated into French as well – Canadian French although Analytics tells us that his site does get a lot of traffic from French speaking European countries. I am looking forward to that project! Who knows, maybe one day they will add Parisian French as well.
