The following is a Facebook conversation that was kind of funny so I decided to repost here on our blog. The converstation started with a status update about the new iMark site.

Darcia Armstrong We have FINALLY uploaded some new pages (mostly to our copywriting section), added a new section (blogging set up and social media tutorial), and we have also updated our portfolio section with some of our recent projects. Take a look at http://www.imarkcomm.com ! Oh and we updated our blog design too, so find that here: http://blog.imarkcomm.com/ – don’t forget to comment!!!

It’s a truly beautiful website Darcia! I just went and checked out the blog…looks good! I like the Fail burger…

thanks Cassie! We are planning to expand the translations section as well but that will have to go on the back burner for a little while.

Looks good, although I see a disturbing lack of updates regarding what you had for breakfast. Posts like that are the cornerstone of a good blog.

I didn’t realize, Bryan, I am sorry! I thought that that’s what Facebook is for… :)

Bryan Humphrey at 10:39am June 3

I was wrong. I guess Twitter is for talking about breakfast, and Facebook is for posting pics of your breakfasts.

wow…look how far we’ve come…

Darcia Armstrong at 12:02pm June 3

Gawh, posting pics of your breakfast is what flickr is for! Facebook is for keeping tabs on friends of friends of friends.

Bryan Humphrey at 12:13pm June 3

Now that I think about it, isn’t Facebook really for posting pics and comments that will make it impossible for you to get hired by anyone in the future. And flickr is for posting pictures of freeway exit signs, not breakfast.

Darcia Armstrong at 12:22pm June 3

Wow, you are so on top of social media! now that that is settled, let’s go back to the purpose of blogging?

Cassie Hodge at 12:24pm June 3

hmmm…I thought facebook was to post pictures so that everyone can see what a better time you are having in your life then they are! Have I got that wrong?

Bryan Humphrey at 12:58pm June 3

The purpose of blogs is to write long winded rants about how all of the choices in the breakfast aisle are made by big, multinational corporations and how there aren’t enough options for free range, organic breakfast foods made by local one family farmers.

Either that, or their purpose to post links to other blogs who post links to other blogs who post links to other blogs that post links to information about new products you can buy from big, multinational corporations in a few months.

And Cassie, the pics of all the good times you are having lead into not being able to get hired for those jobs.

Cassie Hodge at 1:09pm June 3

ah…I think I am beginning to understand now…

Darcia Armstrong at 8:48pm June 3

Also Cassie, that only works if your life is so much better than other people – or if you are very skilled in Photoshop.

Darcia Armstrong at 8:51pm June 3

Wait, aren’t you very skilled in Photoshop, Cassie?

Bryan Humphrey at 8:53pm June 3

Burn!
